Front. On the right side of the banknote is the portrait of Maironis (Prelate Jonas Maciulis (1862–1932)), a famous Lithuanian poet and bard of the Lithuanian national rebirth. At the top is the inscription LIETUVOS BANKAS (BANK OF LITHUANIA), and at the bottom of the banknote DVIDESIMT LITU (TWENTY LITAS). On the left of the portrait is the year of issue 2007, the signature of the Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania and the inscription LIETUVOS BANKO VALDYBOS PIRMININKAS (CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF THE BANK OF LITHUANIA). The front of the banknote bears brown, violet, light brown and blue colours.
Back. The Statue of Liberty against the background of Vytautas Magnus Museum of War History and Belfry. At the bottom of the banknote is the inscription DVIDESIMT LITU (TWENTY LITAS). The back of the banknote bears violet, yellow and light blue colours.
